I suddenly decided!
I have taken part in a Winter Open Studio for the past 9 years with the exception of 2020 when the pandemic was at its peak and the event was cancelled. I had been really undecided whether to open my studio this Winter in case we entered Lockdown again. But it doesn't look as if restrictions will be coming soon so I have designed a leaflet and just hope someone turns up.
I will have sanitiser, spare masks for those that want them and I am hoping Mulled Wine will be available too - I do love the smell of the spices. So do come along to have a chat, browse through my Lockdown sketches and maybe buy a card or a painting!
The main Mill Road Winter Fair full of music, noise, people, food and arty events has been cancelled for the second year running due to Covid-19. However, there will be a few stalls on Donkey Green on 4 December open, providing the weather is reasonable and there is not another Lockdown (which fortunately seems unlikely).
Instead, there is an art exhibition online and I am delighted to be part of this event along with 24 other local artists. I have 5 paintings and prints in the online exhibition as well as one of my Lockdown Books. If you would like to visit my studio to see any of my paintings please contact me at info@maureenmace.co.uk
