Ten enthusiastic students from my classes at Cambridge Art Classes have organised an exhibition of their work at Michaelhouse in Trinity Street, Cambridge - a converted church serving some of the most delicious food in the city.
People of all ages and backgrounds have joined the art classes, some are retired and wanting to have a go, some use art to overcome difficulties in their lives, some are home educated and others have one-off lessons to celebrate birthdays or produce a piece of art for a friend.
None of the students in this exhibition have shown their work before. There is a huge variety of styles and media, from painting to sculpture, from acrylic to monoprints. It has been an exciting experience for all as they prepare to show the public their work and it makes a stunning display.
